Fire Awareness/Fire extinguisher training

Apart from the fact that it is a legal requirement under the fire precautions (workplace) regulations 1997 amended 1999 that fire safety training is provided to all employees. It has also been proved time and time again that a well trained workforce not only reduces the risk of fire, but in the event of one, will respond quickly and effectively to minimize the damage.

 

Each course is tailored to suit the needs of the company in which it is held, and all courses are tutored by either experienced firefighters or suitably trained fire trainers.

 

Each year the correct use of fire extinguishers saves UK businesses millions, preserves lives and prevents injury. Small fires can spread rapidly and trained staff can help to prevent the escalation of minor fires.

 

The First Response Team only use experienced fire training professionals who provide an exciting training experience using the latest equipment and focusing on the teaching of realistic fire management techniques. The delegates will be taught the correct selection and use of fire extinguishers via a practical demonstration where delegates will use a variety of extinguishers in real fire situations.

 

The course can be customized to suit the fire risks posed by your specific working environment. It can be run on-site to allow the trainer to gear the course content to your needs.

This course is suitable for all employees (particularly new employees) who may need to use a fire extinguisher in an emergency and who require fire awareness training as part of an employees legal responsibilities.

The delegate will be able to identify and use the correct extinguisher in real fire situations and assist the fire safety manager in their duties.

A certificate of attendance will be issued to delegates attending the full duration of the course.
