Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
Course Overview
A course designed for all abilities to learn or refresh their essential lifesaving skills. The emphasis of this
course is very much about 'hands on' training.
The latest resuscitation council guidelines (introduced in 2006) will be explained and taught, so this course
is ideal for people wishing to update their skills since their last course.
Research published by the HSE in a position statement in October 2005 indicated serious concerns about
the current frequency of refresher training (every 3 years) and suggested the need for more frequent training.
The HSE stated in this document that it would like to see the introduction of annual 1/2 day refresher
courses at the earliest opportunity, due the significant deterioration of skills over time.
