Automated External Defibrillation Course
Course Overview
Automated External Defibrillation (AED) is no longer just for doctors and paramedics. Advances in
technology now make it possible for rescuers with very limited training to save lives by providing
defibrillation following sudden cardiac arrest.
Over 270,000 people in the UK suffer from a heart attack every year.
Clinical studies have shown that victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest who are defibrillated immediately
have over 90% chance of survival.
It's not acceptable to wait for an ambulance to arrive and defibrillate... by then it is too late.
For each minute that passes a victim's chance of survival drops between 7-10 per cent.
Who is it for?
The defibrillation equipment is now available for every workplace at an affordable cost.
With training direct from Paramedics who have unrivalled experience in advanced cardiac life support,
your staff can learn the vital technique of defibrillation in half a day.
Course content:
- Basic overview of anatomy and physiology of the heart
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Risks & Safety procedures of defibrillation
- Automated External Defibrillator practical
- Recovery position
Duration
3 hours (half day)
This course can be run in-house for up to 8 delegates or individuals can attend our open courses
On successful completion of the course our students will receive a certificate of competence valid
for 6 months, which complies with current resuscitation guidelines.

Refresher Training
Current resuscitation guidelines recommend refresher AED training every 6 months.
Our refresher training courses costs just £250.00 per 10 students.
